Coaching Skills for

This intensive training day is to introduce coaching skills and techniques with the aim of developing the widespread use of these skills.

Who is this course for?

This course is for middle and senior leaders, including support staff team leaders, or leaders of the future.

  • Anyone who is looking to develop their coaching skills; perhaps to lead more effectively themselves or to unlock the full potential of individuals in their teams, or whole school.
  • Anyone who is looking to develop their repertoire of coaching skills to support other colleagues to develop or improve performance; developing coaching as a whole school culture to underpin their entire CPD programme.

What are the objectives or outcomes?

This course will develop the skills and habits of school leaders, or future school leaders, so that they can:

  • Widen the use of coaching skills in their school.
  • Spread the use of coaching in line-management meetings, pupil meetings, and their wider leadership practice.
  • Develop all colleagues through the widespread use of coaching techniques.
  • Reduce school CPD costs over time as participants will become equipped to deliver all key CPD.
