This 60 minute video is intended to help new teachers, or those teachers who have not had the opportunity to up-skill in their marking, to focus on 10 key principles. These basic considerations will, if properly managed, lead teachers towards better, more efficient, more effective marking over time. These findings are based on real-life experiences in the classroom as well as the current literature and research in the field of assessment.

Ben Creasey is Assistant Headteacher at Robert Barclay Academy, Hoddesdon.
Responsibilities include standards, raising attainment, monitoring and internal quality assurance. Specialist areas of expertise are assessment and marking and MFL teaching.
