This is a twilight session with a focus on self reflection, aspects of the role of a Deputy Headteacher and preparing for interview.

This twilight course is hosted at Sandringham School from 4:00pm – 5:30pm on the following date:

This session is ideal for established Assistant Headteachers considering their next steps in leadership.

What are the objectives or outcomes?

In this twilight participants will:

  • Understand the role and responsibilities of a Deputy Headteacher
  • Receive practical, ‘tried and tested’ interview strategies
  • Discuss applications for senior leadership positions

Meet the facilitator

Fergal Moane is Deputy Headteacher at Sandringham School in charge of Teaching and Learning. Fergal joined the teaching profession in 2010 after a 15 year career in Investment Banking. Since then he has been a curriculum leader in Computer Science and Business & Economics and subsequently Assistant Head in charge of Strategic IT. Fergal was responsible for the BYOD and Blended Learning programmes at Sandringham and has recently worked with the Department for Education, sitting on working groups for Educational Technology and Workload reduction.
