So you want to be an Assistant Headteacher? 2018-19

This is a twilight session with a focus on self reflection, aspects of the role of an Assistant Headteacher, and preparing for interviews at leadership level.

This course is hosted at Sandringham School from 4:00pm – 5:30pm on the following date:

Who is this course for?

This session is ideal for established middle leaders considering their next steps to leadership position.

What are the objectives or outcomes?

In this twilight participants will:

  • Understand the role of and demands of an Assistant Headteacher
  • Receive practical, ‘tried and tested’ interview questions
  • Discuss applying for leadership positions

Meet the facilitator:

Caroline Creaby is a Deputy Headteacher at Sandringham School in St Albans. Caroline has worked in schools for twelve years teaching economics and business and has held roles including AST, Head of Department and Assistant Headteacher. As a school leader, Caroline has led on several strategic areas including CPD, appraisal, teaching and learning and Sixth Form.

Caroline recently completed her doctorate in education and leads on Sandringham’s research work.  From September 2017, Caroline will be Director of the Sandringham Research School.
