The Alban Teaching School Hub works in collaboration with the following Lead Partners
Acorns Early Years Training Centre
Acorns Early Years Training Centre are proud to be working in partnership with Alban Teaching School Hub as their Early Years partner. Previously a designated teaching school, we have extensive experience supporting schools and settings with training and CPD to promote high quality early years practice across Hertfordshire.
Advanced Learning Partnership
The Advanced Learning Partnership comprises a number of excellent secondary schools in the Watford, Barnet, Borehamwood, and Potters Bar areas. Dame Alice Owen’s School in Potters Bar acts as the lead school. We offer Middle and Senior Leadership Programmes for aspiring HoDs and Assistant Head Teachers, respectively, and an upskilling programme for Physics teachers in collaboration with the Institute of Physics. Additionally, we have specialist expertise in MFL. We hold regular forums for Safeguarding leads, Librarians, and SEND teams. Dame Alice Owen’s School is a Lead Partner of the Alban Teaching School Hub and we will collaborate closely on the delivery of the ECF from September 2021, providing facilitators and a venue for training, and we will engage the Alban Hub as our Appropriate Body for ECTs. Some of our partnership schools also intend to work together as a sub-regional group for School Direct recruitment and training, led by Watford Grammar School for Girls.
